A Television Academy anunciou nesta segunda-feira (12) os nomeados aos Emmy Awards 2022, numa cerimónia virtual apresentada pelo ator JB Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm) e pela atriz Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) juntamente com Frank Scherma, CEO da Academia.
Desta vez, a Academia da Televisão não forneceu informações sobre qual a rede ou plataforma que lidera a lista das nomeações, deixando aos seus responsáveis a tarefa dessa contagem. De acordo com o Colider, a Walt Disney Company é a vencedora absoluta com 147 indicações obtidas nas suas muitas propriedades, 92 delas foram para os dois serviços de streaming: Hulu com um recorde de 58 indicações, e Disney+ com 34. Quanto às nomeações recebidas por uma plataforma ou rede, o vencedor deste ano é a HBO/HBO Max, com impressionantes 140 indicações em 24 séries diferentes.
Já no que diz respeito aos programas, a contagem foi clara e “Succession” foi a série mais nomeada de 2022, ao receber 25 indicações. Seguem-se “Ted Lasso” e “The White Lotus” com 20, “Hacks” e “Only Murders In The Building” com 17 e “Euphoria” com 16. “Squid Game” recebeu 14 nomeações, enquanto que “Ozark” e “Stranger Things” ficaram-se pelas 13.
A 74ª edição dos Emmys Awards será transmitido em direto do Microsoft Theater no dia 12 de setembro, com emissão pela NBC e pela primeira vez no Peacock.
